The ACE program is a pathway to a career in the skilled trades. If you’re interested in working in a trade but don’t have the Grade 12 requirement for the trade, you can apply for this training free of any tuition – costs for textbooks are covered.
The Indigenous Birthworker—Pregnancy Micro-credential course emphasizes Indigenous traditions on pregnancy and birthworker roles. It covers Indigenous philosophies, birthing plan creation, and comprehensive support for parents and families. The course addresses pregnancy challenges and includes Anishinaabemowin (Ojibwe) language training for effective communication.
Our Business Diploma is a general program offering a wide variety of pathways into a rewarding career. Graduates will have a broad understanding of the contemporary business world and the skills to compete in rural and urban job markets.
Our Early Childhood Education Diploma program offers a pathway into rewarding careers working with young children. Graduates of the Early Childhood Education Diploma program will be eligible for registration with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators and become a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE).
The Indigenous Birthworker—Labour Micro-credential course emphasizes Indigenous birth philosophies and the Birthworker’s role across the birthing journey. You’ll learn about the signs, stages, and complications of labour, emphasizing wholistic support and trauma-informed care. This course includes Anishinaabemowin (Ojibwe) language training for effective communication.
This course will prepare students for writing the security guard licensing examination for the province of Ontario.
Illuminating the Path to Mental Health Recovery
Be a part of the NAN Health Transformation by choosing a career in the healthcare field. The Pre-Health Sciences Certificate Program will prepare you to move onto a certificate or diploma program in health sciences.
OSHKI-WENJACK’s Indigenous Birthworker—Postpartum Micro-Credential Course offers flexible online learning, enabling participants to stay in their community while learning. The curriculum delves into the crucial role of Indigenous Birthworkers, covering topics like pregnancy philosophies, prenatal support, and mental health. Anishinaabemowin (Ojibwe) language training is integrated to enhance communication within Indigenous communities.
This new program is specially designed for graduates of Social Service Worker (SSW), Social Service Worker—Indigenous Specialization (SSW-IS), and Indigenous Wellness and Addictions Prevention (IWAP) diploma programs to continue their learning by joining a BSW program mid-way through by earning transfer credits from your SSW/SSW-IS/IWAP towards HBSW in partnership with Algoma University.
