Why Oshki-Wenjack?

Located in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Oshki-Wenjack is grounded in the belief that all learners deserve to feel a sense of belonging and support on their path to learning. We were founded by the 49 Indigenous communities of the Nishnawbe Aski Nation to offer educational programs that support and strengthen our people and communities.

Laurie, Indigenous Wellness and Addiction Prevention Program Student
“With this training, I do have that knowledge to be able to speak up for my clients, be able to help my community so they’ll have an understanding of what’s the law, what their rights are.”
Jessica, Instructor
“I’m from this territory, and I don’t plan on leaving, along with a lot of my students. So, I think it just builds our economy and builds our relationships, and our future as Indigenous people.”
