Stacey Rae

Oshki-Pimache-O-Win: The Wenjack Education Institute community is deeply saddened by the passing of recent graduate, Stacey Rae of North Caribou Lake First Nation. Stacey’s journey was one of incredible strength and perseverance. She carried many challenges throughout her life, but she continued to move forward and believe in herself.

Stacey’s path to becoming a Bachelor of Social Work graduate wasn’t easy. She faced many challenges along the way, but she continued to move forward and reach a goal she worked incredibly hard to achieve. Standing among her classmates at graduation was a powerful reminder of her strength, perseverance, and the journey that brought her there.

Stacey was a passionate advocate, a talented writer and poet, and someone who cared deeply for others. Her experiences shaped her compassion and her desire to help people. We extend our deepest condolences to Stacey’s family, friends, classmates, and the entire North Caribou Lake First Nation community. Her story, her strength, and the impact she made will remain with those who had the privilege of knowing her.
