Marg Raynor

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of Marg Raynor, who passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025.

Marg was a foundational and integral figure in Indigenous education at Brock University. Her journey with Brock began in 1999, teaching the very first cohort of the Indigenous Adult Education program, and she continued to support Indigenous learners with dedication for more than twenty-six years. She was deeply committed to the Bachelor of Education Primary/Junior program—contributing to the initial needs assessment and serving for many years as both Program Coordinator and Instructor.

Since 2019, Marg was also a valued instructor with Oshki-Pimache-O-Win: The Wenjack Education Institute. Through the partnership between Brock University and Oshki-Wenjack, she taught in our community-based delivery of the Aboriginal Bachelor of Education (AB-Ed) P/J programs. Marg brought her knowledge, warmth, and unwavering commitment to every class, supporting learners throughout the North with respect and care.

We are profoundly grateful to Marg for her passion for lifelong learning and her steadfast dedication to the students and communities she served. Her impact will continue to be felt for many years to come.
