Academic and Career Entrance (ACE) Program – Entry to Trades
The ACE program is a pathway to a career in the skilled trades. If you’re interested in working in a trade but don’t have the Grade 12 requirement for the trade, you can apply for this training free of any tuition – costs for textbooks are covered.
How to applyYour Career Path
In partnership with Northern College, Oshki-Wenjack’s special HyFlex delivery method allows you the option to stay in your home community for the duration of the program. You can take courses through on-line and independent study at home and/or you can attend classes in-person at Oshki-Wenjack’s Thunder Bay campus or Northern College’s Timmins campus.
The ACE Certificate is recognized as an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (Grade 12) equivalent for the purpose of admissions at all Ontario’s Indigenous Institutes and community colleges, for trades and apprenticeship training, and by many employers and unions.
