Apprenticeship Training Journey

The whole process to becoming a certified tradesperson normally takes three to five years. It includes a number of in-class training sessions, along with significant job training.

After completing the Pre-Apprenticeship Training program, apprentices with Level 1 training certificates can continue with traditional apprenticeship or can be transferred to colleges for co-op diplomas and continue on the job training.

After finishing the required training hours for the trade, students are eligible to take the licensing exams, and become certified journeypersons.

Level 1 in-class training will be provided using Oshki-Wenjack’s mobile trades training lab, a fully equipped 53-foot expandable trailer for carpentry, electrical, plumbing, welding, mechanical, and millwright trades training.
