There are many ways that you can apply for funding to support your tuition fees at Oshki-Wenjack.
About funding
Funding opportunities vary by organization, some offer full support to Oshki-Wenjack students, such as awards and bursaries, while other organizations offer student loans that have to be paid back. Look over the opportunities below to figure out what works best for you and your program.
Funding from First Nations Organizations
Many First Nations organizations and councils provide funding for learners who want to get a post-secondary education. Below are a few First Nations organizations that offer funding for our learners.
You may ask your First Nation or Employer for information on financial support if you do not fall into any of these categories or contact the Student Liaison Officer to explore other options. Below is a list of some frequently used funding agencies.
Northern Nishnawbe Education Council

Ontario Student Assistance Program
The Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) offers funding to Ontario students attending post-secondary programs. Students attending summer semesters should be aware of payment release dates.
Support from our Partners
Each partnering college and university has a list of bursaries, awards, and scholarships that are available to you. Log-in with your student ID and password for access. Check in September and January. Our Student Service Officer will post additional bursary information on our student Facebook page as it becomes available.
