Starting with orientation
Each new program begins with an intensive three day orientation for the students. Culturally appropriate on learning strategiesand personal development is provided. Individual students have the opportunity to meet their Coordinators and the Student Support Worker, also to inform students about imporrtant topics related to transition, registration, and academic expectations.
Getting to campus
Our campus is located at 106 Centennial Square, 3rd floor in the City of Thunder Bay. We are situated directly across the Victoriaville Mall where you can find access to banking, shopping, city information, and food court.

Finding a place to stay
Although it is great to stay with family, previous have found it diffucult to find the space to study and complete assignments. Nevertheless, if one should decide to stay with family, they should consider the following.
Books & Supplies
All books required for courses are pre-ordered and will be distributed on the first day of classes. Students are asked to pay for them on that day. Students who have a sponsor are asked to sign for the books to recieve them.
Generally, students are expected to provide their own supplies, though Oshki does accomodate the basic tools, such as pens, a binder, a bag, et cetera. If needed for the course, Oshki can also provide a calculator, for example, or a memory stick.

You can expect when you travel to Thunder Bay that it requires some planning ahead. You may find yourself wondering where Oshki-Pimache-O-Win is, where you’re going to stay, and what you are going to do while you are in Thunder Bay. Oshki Staff has dedicated time for research and inform you about the wide range of services available to students while in Thunder Bay. We are committed to help you be comfortable during your studies in Thunder Bay.
