Travel & Accommodations
Students are required to cover the costs of their accommodations and meals for the one or two weeks that they are in Thunder Bay. While Oshki-Pimache-O-Win is not responsible for coordinating travel & accommodation arrangements, we would be happy to offer helpful suggestions, so please, give us a call!
(Students are urged to contact their sponsors for schooling at least two weeks in advance when planning to travel).

Attending virtual classes
Centra (Virtual Classrooms) is a real-time virtual classroom environment provided by Contact North. OSHKI students acccess and use Centra using an Internet connected computer and a headset to attend and participate in live, scheduled classroom and tutor sessions. A Centra session allows instructors and students to meet as a group or to meet one-on-one on the Web and, from there, to listen to a lecture, to text chat, to participate in two-way discussions, to view presentation slides, to share an application, and to visit other web sites on the Internet.
Accessing online courses
OSHKI graduates will have the knowledge and skills to work in their own home communities using the potential of the Web to their benefit. E-Learning, or online learning, helps to develop the technical skills and knowledge required for the connected workplace and worker. Using our E-Learning@Oshki.ca portal, students can access a number of online tools and technologies to support online coursework.
