HELEN BASSETT COMMEMORATIVE STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS
2008/2009

The Native Women’s Association of Canada (NWAC) is pleased to offer four Student Scholarships in the amount of $1000.00 to young Aboriginal Women seeking to further their education. The awards are distributed through NWAC’s Youth Program and are made possible through the generous donations of Helen Bassett.

Ontario Special Bursary Plan (OSBP)

The Ontario Special Bursary Plan (OSBP) is a student financial aid program that offers bursary assistance to help cover your educational costs. You are eligible for such assistance if you are taking postsecondary courses on a part-time basis because you are unable to attend school full time and you have a low family income.

Seven Generations

The Post Secondary Student Support Program's objective is to support Treaty/Status Indians to gain access to post-secondary education; to graduate with the qualifications and skills needed to pursue individual careers and to contribute to the achievement of Indian self-government and economic self-reliance. The P.S.S.S.P. provides financial support to eligible Treaty/Status Indians toward the cost of their post-secondary education.
