“Oshki-Pimache-O-Win is student focused.”

Napash is focused on providing educational opportunities to First Nations people at Oshki-Pimache-O-Win.

A graduate of both Confederation College and Lakehead University, Napash finds the small-school atmosphere at Oshki-Pimache-O-Win to be well suited for both staff and students.

“It’s a small organization,” says the Student Support Worker originally from the Cree Nation of Chisasibi. “We are all responsible for making contacts, recruiting students, ensuring students are comfortable with the way we deliver education, and providing support while they are here and in their communities.”

Napash brought her experience as a student who achieved good grades while raising a family to her role at Oshki-Pimache-O-Win in 2008.

“I understand what the challenges are for our individual students. I understand that a lot of students have responsibilities in their communities.”
