IT Services
The Information Technology (IT) Services personnel at OSHKI provides technology support and services that address the computing and communications needs of students, faculty and staff.
Broadband Internet
OSHKI is part of the Kuh-Ke-Nah Network (K-Net), a broadband regional network encompassing the Nishnawbe Aski Nation territory and surrounding area. In Thunder Bay, OSHKI is connected to K-Net through a city-wide wireless broadband network known as the Thunder Bay Meet Me Network. Through K-Net, OSHKI is able to connect to remote First Nations communities and learners to deliver online programs and courses.
Web
OSHKI hosts its own web infrastructure to help facilitate the delivery of online services such as the Institute's website, webmail, and various e-learning platforms and tools.
Computer Lab
The OSHKI campus has a 25 PC workstation computer lab facility which includes scanning and printing services. Color printing is available through the front desk. All PCs are equipped with Windows Vista and Microsoft Office 2007.
Videoconferencing
OSHKI videoconferencing services are available to connect remote students so that they may participate in the classroom. Videoconferencing is also available for virtual meetings and webcasts.
