Welcome to our new website and a new year of higher education opportunities.

As the premier Institute for developing and delivering culturally relevant post-secondary education and training programs for Nishnawbe Aski Nation and region, we continue to grow and now offer a wider variety of distinctive, accessible post-secondary programs.

Our new website offers detailed information about our new programs, and our new staff members are eager to help potential and current students to achieve their goals. Along with increased access to post-secondary educational opportunities through our newly renewed Partnership Agreements with Lakehead University, Wabnode Institute at Cambrian College, Negahneewin College at Confederation College and the Northern Ontario School of Medicine, Oshki-Pimache-O-Win now offers a new e-learning environment using the Moodle system, which gives students additional support during their studies.

Our blended delivery model, which offers on-campus sessions and distance education sessions through online platforms, teleconference, video conference and independent study, provides a student-centred and culturally appropriate learning environment. This is an ideal learning environment for our communities as our students can learn while still continuing with their present occupations.

Higher education and access programs play a vital role in the economic well being of Aboriginal communities; Oshki-Pimache-O-Win’s goal is to improve access to higher education opportunities to increase the success of Nishnawbe people - wherever the students may reside.
