Admission Requirements 

Program Eligibility

1. For graduates of the new curriculum (OSS):
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (30 credits) or equivalent including: any grade 12 English (C), (U) or (M) OR

2. For graduates of the old curriculum (OS:IS):
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (30 credits) or equivalent including: any 2 senior level English (general or advanced) OR

3. Mature Student Status:
To be eligible for Mature Student status, an applicant must be a minimum of 19 years of age and successfully completed prescribed Canadian Adult Achievement Test (CAAT).

Applicant Selection

Applicants must meet the admission requirements for the program delivered by Oshki-Pimache-O-Win Education & Training Institute. Each applicant must submit the following:

1. An Oshki-Pimache-O-Win Program Application Form.

2. An online or paper application to the Ontario College Application Services (OCAS).

3. Official transcript(s) from the last institution attended.

4. Proof of post-secondary sponsorship in the form of a written letter which states the name of the student, the program of study and the duration of sponsorship.

Program Description

Oshki-Pimache-O-Win in partnership with Confederation College has developed an innovative one semester Pre-Health Sciences Bridging Program to be delivered in January 2009. This program is designed to prepare students for the challenges of the one year certificate Pre-Health Sciences two-semester program (to be delivered in September, 2009) by providing a preparation and/or bridging semester which will focus on building both academic and student success skills. Students will have the opportunity to improve their writing and math skills, explore the basics of science, develop strong computer skills and build personal and academic confidence. Prerequisites required for science related programs at the College level are included in this three semester program. The program will be delivered in a modular format through a combination of intensive two one week on campus sessions per semester and independent distance study supported by evening tele/video conferences and E-Learning tools. This program may be extended to allow for additional on campus sessions.

Tuition Fees

One Semester Pre-Health Sciences Bridging Program $1,693.00.

Two Semester Pre-Health Sciences Program $2,786.00 - Lab Fees not included.
