Admission Requirements

Program Eligibility

1. For graduates of the new curriculum (OSS): Ontario Secondary School Diploma (30 credits) or equivalent including: any grade 12 English (C) , (U), or (M) & any grade 11 Mathematics (C), (U) or (M). Computer competency in relevant software is recommended. OR

2. For graduates of the old curriculum (OS:IS): Ontario Secondary School Diploma (30 credits) or equivalent including: any 2 senior English (general or advanced) & any 2 senior level Mathematics (general or advanced). Computer competency in relevant software is recommended. OR

3. Mature Student Status - to be eligible for Mature Student status, an applicant must be a minimum of 19 years of age and successfully complete the prescribed Canadian Adult Achievement Test (CAAT) .

Applicant Selection

Applicants must meet the admission requirements for the First Nation Business Administration program delivered by Oshki-Pimache-O-Win Education & Training Institute. As part of the admissions process each applicant must submit the following:

1. An Oshki-Pimache-O-Win Program Application Form.

2. An online or paper application to the Ontario College Application Services (OCAS).

3. Official transcript(s) from the last institution attended.

4. Proof of post-secondary sponsorship in the form of a written letter which states the name of the student, the program of study and the duration of sponsorship.

Program Description

This certificate program provides a comprehensive and culturally relevant educational experience designed to help prospective or new managers work effectively with human, material and financial resources. The First Nation Business Administration certificate program provides a basis for entry-level employment or personal and professional growth for job advancement.

The program is delivered in a modular format through a combination of on-campus sessions (2 weeks twice per semester) and independent distance study supported by Centra. The program begins with an intensive 2 week on-campus session. Students then return to their communities to continue with their modular studies. This program may be extended to allow for additional on-campus sessions.

Tuition Fees

The tuition fee for this course will be announced at a later date, due to tuition changes on a yearly basis.
