We offer accredited programs and courses
In the summer of 2005, OSHKI began delivering accredited post-secondary programs in partnership with mainstream Colleges.
In the years 2005-07, OSHKI delivered two accredited post-secondary education programs to completion: 1) First Nations Business Administration Certificate (FNBAC) Program, a one-year certificate offered in partnership with the Wabnode Institute at Cambrian College in Sudbury; and 2) Aboriginal Community Services Worker (ACSW) Program, a two-year diploma offered in partnership with the Negahneewin College of Academic and Community Development at Confederation College in Thunder Bay.
In September 2007, two more accredited post-secondary programs commenced and are currently in progress: 1) Aboriginal Financial and Economic Planning (AFEP) Program; and 2) Indigenous Wellness and Addictions Prevention (IWAP) Program. Both of these are two-year diploma programs, offered in partnership with the Negahneewin College of Academic and Community Development at Confederation College in Thunder Bay.
For September 2008, OSHKI will expand its accredited post-secondary program offerings to include the Native Early Childhood Education (NECE) Program, offered in partnership with the Wabnode Institute at Cambrian College in Sudbury, and another intake for the Aboriginal Community Services Worker (ACSW) Program offered in partnership with the Negahneewin College of Academic and Community Development at Confederation College in Thunder Bay. Both are two-year diploma programs.
In January of 2009, OSHKI will deliver the Pre-Health Sciences Bridging Program, a one-year certificate to be delivered in partnership with the Negahneewin College of Academic and Community Development at Confederation College in Thunder Bay.
