“Oshki Pimache-O-Win” means “new beginnings.” This entails that anyone who has a desire to learn can enjoy a new beginning and a better life through education or training. Education and training provide new beginnings. OSHKI’s vision is:

“To be the leader in providing excellence in post-secondary education by meeting the educational and cultural needs of the member communities of Nishnawbe-Aski Nation through a holistic approach.”

OSHKI provides a holistic approach to lifelong learning for First Nations people and other learners. The Oshki Pimache-O-Win (OSHKI) mandate is to ensure that through education and training, the Aboriginal people will be in a position to meet the needs of their communities, and will be ready for the future opportunities in health sciences, social services, commerce or industry.
