Welcome

Greetings!!!

Oshki‐Pimache‐O‐Win Education & Training Institute is paving “new beginnings” in education for First Nations people and communities and it is a great honour and privilege to be a part of that. This fall, Oshki is will start the Aboriginal Community Services Worker (ACSW) Program (in partnership with Confederation College Thunder Bay, Ontario) and the Native Early Childhood Education (NECE) Program (in partnership with Cambrian College – Sudbury, Ontario). Both are four‐semester diploma programs that are delivered in a modular/independent study/e‐learning format.

The Pre‐Health Sciences Program will be offered in January 2009. The program is still under development. Oshki is accepting applications to the program. Program delivery is in a similar format to the ACSW/NECE Programs. For more information on or apply into the Pre‐Health Sciences Program, contact me at my direct line (807) 626‐1888 or email me at rostamas@oshki.ca I will be happy to assist you.

We plan to visit various NAN communities this fall and on through the winter months to talk to chief and councils, local education authorities, individuals, and employers about Oshki program offerings and how Oshki can assist first nations in meeting their educational and training needs. If your organization, education authorities, or band council is interested in having Oshki come to your community, please contact me at contact information provided above or write to:
