OSHKI students say...
I completed my GED at Oshki-Pimache-O-Win in 2012. Earning my high school equivalent at Oshki has opened many doors for me in both employment and education. In June 2014, I graduated from Confederation College and I will be attending Lakehead University in September 2014. I am extremely thankful for the wonderful instructors I had during my program. I may not have succeeded without them. I enjoyed the on-on-one teaching Oshki offers. It fit well with my style of learning. I would definitely recommend students to attend Oshki!
I chose to attend this program at Oshki because of all the successful stories I have heard. The instructors work with you, and are understanding and flexible. They have support programs here that will help you in different areas of your studies, whether it be family, schooling, or needing somebody to talk to. Oshki will make studies comfortable, fun and achievable. What I love most about Oshki is the friendly environment. Everybody is always laughing, making you feel at home.
Here at Oshki, I am enrolled in SSW Native Specialization Diploma Program. I want to become more effective in my field as a Social Education Counsellor. This program at Oshki is suitable for my career goal and it will equip me to become more effective in my counselling capacity.
I am currently in my second year of the AECE Program at Oshki. This program will strengthen the knowledge and skills I need in my current job, as a daycare worker in my community. I chose to attend this program because it was a requirement in my employment to acquire certification. My supervisor had also recommend that I take the program at Oshki because she said it was an excellent college with excellent instructors and faculty. I love Oshki college because it has a very home-like atmosphere, the instructors are very fair and friendly. Oshki is different from other colleges because it's small, everyone knows each other, and they promote native culture.
